From our blog archive:
Il Tarocco di Amerigo Folchi was published by Italcards, Bologna (Italy) in 1991. The cards of course, are designed by Americo Folchi. The designer gave the deck his own name since his intention was to create a set of cards with no references to anything since many decks of his hands refer to a specific theme. Amerigo Folchi wanted to design a deck that could only be assigned to him. In that, he succeeded. The design he used in order to create this unique deck is a collage of garments and kerchiefs that are the main theme in this strong composition of powerful images that can only stem from the mind of a true designer. Whether these images contribute to the interpretation of traditional tarot symbolism can be questioned, but they surely add to boundless creative and spiritual insight.
The text on the cards is in English, French, Italian and Spanish, the accompanying booklet is only in English and Italian. The cards come in a deluxe cardboard box and have never been used. Limited edition of 3000 copies of which the one described is number 2327. A collector’s item!
Box, cards and instruction booklet in mint condition.
